Sound Healing
What is it?
One of the best things I think I’ve heard about Sound Healing is that ‘it’s really useful, sensible and mystical at the same time’. Love that.
Sound has always been used to heal and balance many aspects of our lives. It has been linked with all of the great spiritual philosophies of the world and has been woven into the fabric of humanity through time and civilisations. Many have spent a lifetime spreading transformative sounds to those with the wisdom to embrace its immense potential for spiritual transformation and healing.
Sound has been interwoven into humanity’s psyche as a means of healing, understanding and transforming the body, mind, heart and spirit. Scientific and modern-day spiritual communities are only now catching up with this arcane wisdom. It is only in the last few decades that ancient sound wisdom of the past has been rediscovered.
By using specially tuned instruments such as gongs, chimes, singing bowls and tuning forks, which vibrate at different frequencies (the rate per second of a vibration constituting a wave) which match frequencies in the body.
According to quantum physics, everything is energy and energy is vibration, therefore, each cell in the human body has a unique vibration & frequency. From time to time things can affect these frequencies, such as exposure to electromagnetic frequencies (EMF) from tech, poor diet, lack of sleep, stress & illness and the body becomes out of harmony. When this happens, we really feel it, emotionally and physically.
Mechanically, sonic waves and vibrations penetrate down to the cellular level to reset cells to their natural pattern or frequency, which calms them down and allows them to act as they should and look after themselves. Inflammation is reduced, pain is relieved, tissues are relaxed and circulation improves.
How does it work?
Best for…
Deep relaxation is the most significant benefit of Sound Healing, followed by its energetic deep tissue massage effect caused by the sound vibrations that stimulates tissues and reflexes, opens, clears, and balances the chakras, and releases stuck energy.
Ultimately, sound therapy supports our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed.
